I have insurance. How much will I have to pay for my hospitalization or clinic visits?
Most insurance policies require the patient to pay some portion of the cost of the care they receive. You will be responsible for non-covered charges, co-payments, or deductible amounts if any. The amount will vary depending on your specific plan and will be billed once we receive the Explanation of Benefits of your plan from your insurance provider.
Do I have to pay my co-payment or deductibles?
Yes. The billing officer will ask for your co-payment or deductibles after your consultation. If we do not have a record of your co-payment or deductible information, you will be billed once we receive the Explanation of Benefits of your plan from your insurance provider.
When will I receive a bill?
The length of time it takes the insurance companies to process a claim varies greatly and can be quite long. Approximately 3 days after your visit or stay the charges will be sent to your insurance company. The length of time for them to respond to the claim is an average of two months or more.
If there is a balance due, you will receive a letter indicating the portion that your insurance company has covered and the amount that you are responsible for. An official statement will be mailed to you in approximately 30 days after notification is received from your insurance company.
